A Summer Mix

At the beginning of this month I joined a group on facebook that was dedicated to creating mixtapes. Each month a new theme would be selected and you would have to create a mixtape and snail mail it to the partner you were randomly paired up with. Seemed like fun, at this point I was getting tired of downloading mixes off of blogs and thought it would be awesome to get a hard copy of something created personally for me. Not only did that excited me but one of the rules of the group was that you would create original cover art to go along with your mix. I felt this was something really cool, it added a lot of personality to the standard idea of making a mix. So the theme for this month was Summer, I liked having a non specific theme like this because it left it open to create an interpretation of what summer means to me. This is also the first mixtape I’ve made so an easy theme would be fun to start off with.
